It’s Danish for Northwoods. We have a special connection to the Northwoods of WI. Both of us grew up going ‘Up North’ and have a deep appreciation for hygge (Scandinavian term for cozy living and seeking simple joy). That along with our Nordic approach to roasting helped us come up with Nordskov.

We don’t have a traditional coffee shop. You can find us at the Janesville Farmers Market from May thru Oct. The Langholf in Fort Atkinson, WI is the only coffee shop that serves Nordskov coffee every day - stop in! Our new HQ in Milton, WI is primarily a production facility for cold coffee and we have a small tasting workshop where we sometimes host customers, classes and events.

Shipping is open 4 times per year (Mar, June, Sept, Dec). Everything on the website can ship except for cold brew. And all coffees ship as whole bean. Keep an eye out in social media for reminders on when shipping is open.

We recommend the OXO 9 cup coffee maker. Water temperature is critical in the brewing process to ensure the proper extraction of the coffee and most coffee makers don’t brew hot enough. The OXO brews hot enough and regulates brew time so you get a great cup of coffee every time.

If you’re making smaller brews, we recommend the 1Zpresso hand grinders. For a countertop grinder, we recommend the Ode Gen 2. If you do brew at home, invest in a good burr grinder rather than a blade grinder. Burr grinders produce more consistent grind size which is key for an even extraction and better tasting coffee.

We recommend that you refrigerate them after you open. It’s also helpful to give them a good shake before using.
